  2. Structured Data Capture
Using tailored audit templates, we capture both technical and operational information consistently across all sites.
  3. Pilot & Validation
A pilot audit tests timing, data capture quality and risk identification before full-scale execution.
  4. Coordinated Site Execution
Our teams manage scheduling and site communications, conducting thorough audits supported by central validation to ensure accuracy.
  5. Deployment-Ready Outputs
Findings, photos and site artefacts are converted into detailed Location Work Packages — giving deployment teams clear, practical guidance.

The result

Fewer surprises, reduced cost, faster rollout and lower delivery risk.

Site Readiness

Site Readiness

When planning a deployment of critical infrastructure, IMI's Site Readiness service reviews business processes with the aim of minimising impact and outage.

Our Process

  1. Analyse Audit Data
Ensure all physical, electrical, data and related IT Infrastructure issues are baselined prior to deployment crews arriving
  2. Undertake structured work plan
Dependencies documented and prerequisites factored into minimising impact to your business, leveraging non-impactful works programs and removal of any legacy issues.
  3. Deployment Readiness
As we have ‘fixed’ before rollout, deployment planning can be completed with confidence, enabling accurate scheduling, fewer issues and reduced risk of longer outage windows or revisits.
  4. Minimise business impact
Ensure you have a ‘deployment ready’ environment, which improves certainty, reduces downstream issues, increases quality and consistency across all your locations.

The Result

Minimise your IT requirement impact to business and trade, leading directly to predictable, scalable and high velocity deployment programs that keep your customers happy and serviced

NMI Verification

NMI Verification

IMI Solutions is a National Measurement Institute “NMI” nationally licensed provider authorised to verify Point of Sale (POS) systems as legal for trade under Australian Government standards. By integrating verification directly into deployment, we eliminate third-party coordination and ensure your systems are compliant from day one.

Our Process

  1. Integrated Installation & Verification
As POS systems are installed, our accredited verifiers conduct required inspection and testing in line with National Measurement Institute (NMI) standards.
  2. Compliance Testing
Systems are measured and verified against their approved pattern to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  3. Regulatory Submission
We liaise directly with the relevant authority, managing required documentation and Form 6 submissions on your behalf.
  4. Certification for Trade
Once verified, your POS systems are approved and ready for lawful commercial operation.

The Result

A seamless path from installation to compliant trading — reduced risk, faster store readiness and no reliance on external verification providers.

IMAC Services Australia

IMAC Services Australia

IMAC services (installs, moves, adds and changes) are the steady heartbeat of IT in any multi-site organisation. New starter on Monday. Two desks relocating in the Adelaide office. A printer added in the back office of a Cairns store. None of it is a project, all of it must happen on time, and your service desk queue shows what happens when it doesn't.

IMI Solutions delivers IMAC and BAU fulfilment across Australia and New Zealand through 220+ points of presence, one national work-order system, and the same field standards we bring to major rollouts. We have handled BAU fulfilment for national networks including Coles supermarkets and Liquorland stores.

What our IMAC service covers

  • Install: new devices deployed to desks, counters and back offices, configured to your SOE
  • Move: equipment relocated within or between sites, disconnect to reconnect
  • Add: peripherals, monitors, access points and lane devices added to existing fleets
  • Change: hardware swaps, upgrades and reconfigurations
  • Decommission: end-of-life removal with data sanitisation and recycling

Each work order is scheduled, executed to a documented method, evidenced with photos, and closed against the asset register. Serial-level tracking in IMX keeps your CMDB honest.

Why outsource IMAC?

Coverage without travel bills. Flying your engineer to Kalgoorlie for a desk move costs more than the desk. Our local field resources handle it inside the SLA.

Elastic volume. Store refits, office restacks and seasonal peaks triple IMAC volume without warning. A national pool absorbs the spike; an internal team queues it.

One standard everywhere. Same method, same evidence, same finish in every state and both countries.

Your team stays senior. Internal IT stops burning days on desk-side logistics and stays on the work that needs them.

Service models

  • Ad hoc: per-work-order pricing for occasional needs
  • Rate card: agreed pricing and SLAs for ongoing BAU fulfilment
  • Managed IMAC: we run the queue end to end, from request intake to asset-register update, reporting monthly

Most clients pair IMAC with break/fix support and spares management, one partner across everything that touches the fleet.

Frequently asked questions

What SLAs are available? Metro next-business-day is standard; regional response models are agreed by geography. Urgent same-day options exist in capitals.

Can you hold our spare stock? Yes. Our Sydney and Melbourne integration centres store, track and stage spares, with visibility through IMX dashboards.

Do you cover New Zealand? Yes, under the same work-order system and reporting as your Australian sites.

How do requests reach you? Portal, email or direct integration with your ITSM tool. Most enterprise clients pass tickets straight from ServiceNow or similar.

IT Relocation Services

IT Relocation Services

IT relocation services carry a deadline no one can move: the day the lease ends. Desks can arrive late and chairs can go missing, and the business limps along. If the technology arrives late, the business stops. Fifty staff who can't log in cost more per hour than the entire moving budget.

IMI Solutions relocates IT for offices, stores, clinics and comms rooms, from our Sydney headquarters across Australia and New Zealand. We plan the move like a deployment: audited, sequenced, evidenced and tested, because that is what it is.

What we relocate

  • Full office IT estates: workstations, monitors, docks, phones, printers
  • Comms rooms and server racks, including structured decommission and recommission
  • Retail and branch technology during refits, relocations and consolidations
  • Specialist equipment: labs, imaging suites, trading floors

The IMI relocation method

Audit and label. Every asset is recorded, tagged and mapped to its destination seat or rack unit before anything unplugs. Serial-level tracking in IMX means nothing "disappears in the move."

Sequence the cutover. We design the move around your business calendar: which teams move first, what must stay live until the last hour, and what comes up first at the destination. Friday-night-to-Monday-morning is the classic pattern; we also run staged moves floor by floor.

Disconnect, transport, reconnect. Crews photograph, disconnect and pack to method. Transport is insured and tracked. At the destination, the same crews reconnect, cable-manage and power up to a defined standard.

Test before staff arrive. Every seat gets a login test, every printer prints, every meeting room connects. Monday morning starts with work, not a ticket queue.

Decommission the origin. Cabling stripped, e-waste and surplus kit removed for wiping, remarketing or recycling, site handed back clean.

Why moves fail without specialists

The furniture removalist unplugs everything into unlabelled crates. The comms room comes down before the new link is live. Nobody tested the lift dimensions against the rack. Nobody owns the Monday morning failures. Each of these is a real pattern from real moves, and each one is prevented by treating relocation as an engineering project instead of a freight job.

Frequently asked questions

How much notice do you need? Small offices: two to three weeks. Multi-floor or comms room moves: six to eight weeks, mostly for link lead times at the destination.

Can you move us with zero downtime? Near-zero, yes. Staged moves and temporary parallel running keep critical functions live while the estate shifts.

Do you coordinate with the removalist and fit-out trades? Yes. We slot into the master move schedule and own the technology stream within it.

What about stores rather than offices? Store relocations run through our retail deployment method: overnight cutover, tested lanes, trading next morning.

Multi-Site IT Deployment Services

Multi-Site IT Deployment Services

Multi-location IT deployment services exist because rolling out technology to 200 sites is not 200 small projects. It is one large system with 200 points of failure. IMI Solutions has run that system across Australia and New Zealand since 1999, delivering identical, positive outcomes at every location for clients such as Coles, NAB, IBM and Luxottica.

The multi-site problem

Deploy to one office and your best engineer covers everything. Deploy to 200 branches and you need:

  • 200 accurate site records before anyone books travel
  • Devices staged and kitted per site, arriving in step with the crew
  • A written method every engineer follows the same way
  • Live visibility of which sites are done, blocked or drifting
  • An exception process that fixes site 47 without stalling sites 48 through 60

Miss any of these and outcomes vary site by site. Variance is the enemy: it produces revisits, support noise and stores that quietly run on workarounds for years.

What IMI delivers

Parallel rollouts. Multiple crews run concurrent waves across states and both countries, compressing timelines without crowding any single region's resources.

Identical outcomes. One playbook, one staging standard, one sign-off checklist. The site in Dubbo passes the same test as the site in Chatswood.

Protected BAU. We manage the deployment lifecycle end to end, planning, logistics, staging, installation and validation, while your IT team stays on business as usual. Field engineers are backed by our own technical desk, so exceptions get resolved without pulling your staff in.

Full visibility. Every asset is tracked serial-by-serial in IMX from receipt to installation. You watch progress on a live dashboard instead of chasing spreadsheets.

How it works

  1. Audit. We survey every site and turn findings into Location Work Packages.
  2. Design. Waves, timelines, resourcing and governance are agreed before delivery starts. More on solution design.
  3. Stage. Devices are imaged, configured and kitted at our Sydney and Melbourne integration centres.
  4. Deploy. Certified engineers install and validate to the playbook, wave by wave.
  5. Close. Documentation, warranty transfer and old-asset removal complete each site, with support available beyond go-live.

Proof at scale

  • 673 Reddy Express stores, POS rollout, finished 3 weeks early
  • 600 Luxottica stores, POS implementation and support Australia-wide
  • 2,000 POS lanes upgraded across 560 QSR stores
  • 111 Team Global Express sites audited and refreshed nationally

Frequently asked questions

What site counts do you handle? Programs from 10 sites to 1,000+. The methodology scales; the governance stays the same.

Can different site types run in one program? Yes. Stores, branches, clinics and offices each get their own playbook under one project structure.

How do you keep outcomes identical? Staging removes device variance, playbooks remove method variance, and central sign-off removes judgement variance.

Do you work alongside internal IT? Constantly. Most programs run with client IT owning scope and IMI owning delivery.

POS System Installation Australia

POS System Installation Australia

POS system installation in Australia comes with a legal catch most providers gloss over: if the system weighs product, it must be verified legal-for-trade under National Measurement Institute standards before the first sale. IMI Solutions installs POS across Australia and New Zealand and holds an NMI national licence, so verification happens during the install, not weeks after it.

We have installed and supported point of sale for some of the country's largest retail networks: 673 Reddy Express stores in 19 weeks, 600 Luxottica stores, and 2,000 POS lanes across 560 quick service restaurants.

What we install

  • Fixed POS terminals, registers and payment devices
  • Scanner scales and weigh-label systems (with NMI verification)
  • Self-checkout units and assisted lanes
  • Mobile POS and queue-busting devices
  • Kitchen display systems and order screens for QSR
  • Back-office servers, networking and UPS supporting the lane

Hardware is vendor-agnostic. We deploy what your POS platform requires, from any manufacturer, staged and configured at our integration centres before it ships.

NMI verification, built in

As a National Measurement Institute licensed verifier, IMI:

  1. Inspects and tests each weighing instrument in line with NMI standards during installation
  2. Verifies systems against their approved pattern
  3. Manages documentation and Form 6 submission with the regulator
  4. Certifies the lane ready for lawful trading

One crew, one visit, one accountable provider. No coordination with a third-party verifier, and no store trading unverified while paperwork catches up.

How a POS rollout runs

Stage. Terminals are imaged with your build, peripherals paired, and each store's kit packed and serial-tracked in IMX.

Install overnight. Crews swap lanes after close, cable and mount cleanly, and test real transactions end to end: scan, weigh, tender, print, EFTPOS settlement.

Verify and sign off. NMI verification and photographic evidence complete before the store opens. If anything fails, the rollback plan keeps the store trading on existing kit.

Hypercare. A dedicated desk supports stores through the first trading days, and BAU support can continue for the life of the fleet.

Who this is for

Grocery and supermarkets, convenience networks, QSR and hospitality groups, specialty retail chains, pharmacies and franchise networks. If you run more than ten sites, the multi-site deployment model applies directly.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can a national POS rollout move? Reddy Express ran at roughly 35 stores a week at peak. Pace depends on trading windows and geography; the pilot sets the honest number.

Can you install without closing the store? Yes. Overnight and pre-open windows are standard, with rollback plans so morning trade is never hostage to an overnight problem.

Do you support the POS after installation? Yes: help desk, break/fix, spares management and IMAC services under agreed SLAs.

What happens to old terminals? We remove them, wipe stored data, and remarket or recycle the hardware with certificates for your records. More on disposal.

SOE Development & Deployment

SOE Development & Deployment

SOE development and deployment turns a fleet of individually configured machines into one manageable estate. A Standard Operating Environment defines the approved build: operating system, applications, security settings and policies, so every device behaves the same way in every branch, store and office.

IMI Solutions develops SOEs and deploys them at national scale. Devices are imaged and configured in secure build environments at our Sydney and Melbourne integration centres, then rolled out across Australia and New Zealand by our own field teams. One build, hundreds of sites, identical results.

Why an SOE pays for itself

Support gets faster. Every service desk call starts from a known state. Diagnosis time drops when there is one build to reason about instead of four hundred.

Security gets provable. Patching, hardening and configuration baselines apply fleet-wide. Auditors get an artefact, not an assurance.

Deployment gets cheap. New devices image in minutes and work on arrival. Replacements swap like-for-like without an engineer improvising on site.

Users get consistency. Staff moving between sites find the same environment everywhere, which quietly removes a whole category of tickets.

What we do

SOE development

We design and build the standard image with your team: OS baseline, application packaging, drivers per hardware model, security policies and compliance settings. Windows 11 SOEs are the bulk of current work as organisations complete the migration off Windows 10 before Extended Security Updates end in October 2026.

Imaging at scale

Your devices arrive at our integration centres, get logged into IMX serial-by-serial, imaged in segregated build environments, asset-tagged, kitted per site and dispatched deployment-ready. Vendor-agnostic across Dell, HP, Lenovo and the rest.

Nationwide desktop rollout

Field crews deliver, install, migrate data where required, and validate each device against the SOE checklist. Old units return through reverse logistics for wiping and remarketing.

Lifecycle upkeep

SOEs decay without ownership. We maintain the build through driver updates, application versions and hardware model changes, so device 4,000 images as cleanly as device 1.

A typical engagement

A 150-branch organisation refreshing its desktop fleet: SOE developed and piloted in four weeks, imaging line running at hundreds of devices a week, field rollout in geographic waves, every branch cut over without a lost trading day. The multi-site deployment method does the heavy lifting; the SOE guarantees what lands on each desk.

Frequently asked questions

Can you modernise an old SOE rather than start again? Yes. We audit the current build, keep what works, and re-engineer the rest, usually as part of a Windows 11 uplift.

Do you handle application packaging? Yes, including testing across your hardware models and documenting each package.

How does imaging at your facility beat imaging on site? Controlled environment, parallel benches, quality gates and no site downtime. On-site imaging turns every branch into a temporary workshop.

Autopilot and modern provisioning, or traditional imaging? Either, or a hybrid. Many fleets pair cloud enrolment with physical staging for peripherals, asset tagging and kitting.

Wireless Network Installation Across Multiple Sites

Wireless Network Installation Across Multiple Sites

Wireless network installation across multiple sites multiplies every small decision by your site count. Mount one access point 20 centimetres too close to a steel beam and one meeting room drops packets. Repeat the mistake across 300 stores and you have a national coverage problem with a national repair bill.

IMI Solutions installs wireless and wired networks across Australia and New Zealand: surveys, cabling, access points, switches and validation, delivered through the same wave-based method we use for every multi-site deployment. Victoria University's multi-campus network, designed and deployed with IMI, now ranks among the fastest in the Australian university sector.

What we install

  • Wireless access points and controllers, all major vendors
  • Switching, routing and SD-WAN edge hardware
  • Structured cabling, patching and comms cabinet remediation
  • Point-to-point links and in-building coverage solutions
  • IoT and operational wireless: scanners, tills, sensors, cameras

The multi-site wireless method

Survey before hardware. Predictive and on-site surveys per site type establish AP counts and placements. One template per format (small store, large store, office, warehouse) beats 300 bespoke designs and keeps coverage consistent.

Stage centrally. APs and switches are configured, labelled per location and kitted at our integration centres, so field crews mount and patch rather than configure under time pressure.

Install in waves. Crews run geographic circuits, out of hours where sites trade. Cabling remediation identified in the survey happens before install week, not during it.

Validate, don't assume. Post-install validation walks each site with measurement tooling: coverage, throughput, roaming and interference, against defined pass criteria. Evidence attaches to each site's record.

Common projects

  • Chain-wide WiFi refresh ahead of new POS, mobile scanning or self-checkout
  • Guest WiFi rollout across retail or hospitality networks
  • Campus and multi-building networks for education and healthcare
  • Warehouse and logistics wireless where racking and forklifts eat signal
  • SD-WAN and link upgrades paired with in-store wireless uplift

Frequently asked questions

Do you design the network or just install it? Both, together with our design practice. Bring a finished design and we deliver it; bring a problem and we engineer the answer.

Which vendors do you work with? All major wireless and switching vendors. Hardware choice follows your standards and platform strategy.

Can you fix cabling as you go? Cabling issues found in survey are remediated ahead of the install wave. Crews carry capacity for minor on-the-day fixes.

How is success measured? Defined validation criteria per site: coverage heatmap, throughput tests and roaming checks. A site passes or it isn't finished.
